Precautions:

1. Our external optical drive not only reads and burns CDs and DVDs but also functions as a USB hub for laptops. It supports USB hard drives, wired/wireless mice and keyboards, computer heat sinks, and other USB accessories. The card slot facilitates easy transfer of camera photos and videos to a computer (note: SD and TF ports cannot be used simultaneously).

2. The maximum reading capacity is 8.5GB; portable CD/DVD recorders cannot play discs larger than this. To avoid instability, especially with front USB ports, connect the drive to a rear USB port on desktops or laptops. Use the provided power cord for additional power sources if needed.

3. For Windows 10 or later systems, install VLC media player for proper playback of DVDs or CDs that may not play correctly.

4. A reset hole next to the eject button allows manual ejection of the tray if necessary.

5. Note that our drive does not support cars, TVs, tablets, smartphones, projectors, Blu-ray discs, iPads, Chromebooks, or Surface devices. The latest Windows systems no longer support external DVD media player software.

6. Connect the DVD drive directly to a laptop's USB port; avoid using USB hubs.

7. Ensure CDs are properly inserted and free of scratches.

8. Adjust region codes to play discs specific to different regions; set region code to #1 for USA discs.
